Erin Schmidt is an account supervisor at Schmidt Public Affairs, where she plans and manages communications programs for leading health care associations, companies and nonprofit organizations.
Erin has managed successful national campaigns to strengthen the country’s addiction treatment infrastructure, extend funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program, raise public awareness about rheumatic disease, and increase patient access to innovative therapies and treatment modalities – to name just a few. Her areas of expertise include strategic planning, crisis communications, branding, media relations, partner and community relations, and digital and social media integration. She is passionate about health equity, public health and the power of patient advocacy.
Erin’s work has been recognized with multiple industry awards, including PR News’ Platinum PR Award for Best Rebranding/Repositioning Campaign.
Erin holds a Master of Arts degree in media and communication studies from the Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Luther College.
