David Groman joined Schmidt Public Affairs in July 2014 as an account executive, generating written content for clients and assisting in the implementation of digital and social media strategies.

Before his time at SPA, David worked as a news reporter at the Waterbury Republican-American and Voices Newspaper, both located in Connecticut. As a journalist, David composed multiple front-page features while covering national, regional, and local stories. Many of his articles were picked up by the AP and circulated nationwide.

David graduated from Boston College, summa cum laude, in May 2014 with a B.A. in Communication and minors in Economics and Italian.

While at BC, David served as a mentor for Boston students from challenging family backgrounds and volunteered at St. Francis House, New England’s largest multi-service day shelter. He also studied abroad in Florence, Italy as part of the George Washington University International Business cohort.

Away from the office, David is an avid New York sports fan that can be found playing baseball, basketball, and soccer recreationally in his free time.
